How to stay warmer this winter and save energy

As winter approaches usually energy costs rise.  Most people will be turning up the heater and with it their bills. But what people do not realize is that they can still get warm without doubling their electricity bill. One way is to make sure your windows are enrgy efficient.People do not realize that heat is lost if the windows are poorly insulated. So here some of the things you can do to change that.

Checking if your windows are double paned is the first thing you must do.  In my San Diego window replacement service a lot of the older homes were made with single paned windows. This would lead to a lot of energy wasted.  If you see that you have single paned windows you have to replace them as soon as possible. This won’t just save you money this winter but it will save you money over the life of your home.

Obviously I have clients of my glass company San Diego business who say that it is a big expense. The only time it will be an expense is when you buy the new windows. But when you factor all the savings it will give you over the years it really is an investment.  Plus it adds tremendous value to your home.It can also give you savings during summer time.It can save you a lot in the summer because it can retain the cold during summer.

Another good investment along with the windows are frameless glass showers.Studies show that these glass showers keep the heat in.This can really help during the winter.  I have clients of my San Diego frameless glass shower doors service who let me know how much better it is with a glass shower.

So those are some of the ways on how to save energy and still keep your house warm enough. It would really be an investment if you just factor in the savings you get on energy.
