Exciting as it may be, moving into a new home can also be overly daunting, if you are not prepared. If this is your first home everything is new and challenging. The moving process starts when all of the paperwork is signed, sealed and you have been handed the keys. You may think you can move right in, well you may want to think again.

Although this may sound simple depending on the condition of your purchase, you may have to do some cleaning and repairs before you start filling up your new closets. Prior to the actual move consider doing a run through of the home. Check out the areas that need the most attention in terms of cleaning or minor repairs.

You may consider bringing in your supplies in order to start prepping your new dwellings. If your heating system is not yet working, you can make arrangements to keep warm by renting a portable space heater when necessary.
