The great City of Sacramento, CA is situated just where the Sacramento River and the American River converge. Through the Sacramento River Delta, you can reach a deep water port connected to the San Francisco Bay, by using a channel. Sacramento, with its extensive waterways, it is the shipping and rail center for the Sacramento Valley. The estimated population is approximately 454,500.A lot of people think of Sacramento as in Northern California, in reality it is in the very center of the State.
Much of the real property to the west of the city of Sacramento is in a flood control basin. The result is the greater metropolitan area of Sacramento sprawls only four miles west of downtown but 30 miles northeast and east, into the Sierra Nevada foothills, and 10 miles to the south into valley farmland.
